Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts (skinless, boneless) for a lighter option
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 2 pcs eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup hot honey store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil spray for a crispy finish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Set up your breading station with three shallow bowls: one for the flour, one for the beaten eggs, and the last for the breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat each piece of chicken in flour, shake off excess, dip it in the egg wash, and then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down slightly.
  • Place the coated chicken on a lined baking sheet and spray lightly with oil.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • Check doneness; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • Once cooked, drizzle generously with hot honey while still warm.

Notes

For a fun twist, try it in a sandwich with some pickles and crispy greens. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
