Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, melt the butter and combine it with sugar, milk, and egg until well mixed.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • With a small cookie scoop or your hands, form bite-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
  • While they bake, mix together the remaining sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  • Once baked, while still warm, roll the churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Let the dough rest for 10 minutes before forming the bites for a softer texture. Adjust baking time based on your oven’s performance.
