Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until evenly distributed.
  • In another bowl, beat together the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with a spoonful of cinnamon.
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mix over it, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl the batter to create a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days. For longer storage, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for up to three months.
