  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Adds richness to the salad.

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Fresh Vegetables and Add-ins

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Adds vibrant color and sweetness.
  • 1 cup bell peppers Chopped for extra crunch.
  • 1 cup sweet corn Adds sweetness and crunch.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese For gooey goodness.

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil For a fresh summer taste.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.

Preparing the Dressing

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  • In the bowl with the dressing, add the cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, corn, cheese, and bacon bits if using. Gently toss until everything is well coated.

Adding Fresh Herbs

  • Fold in the fresh herbs, giving the salad a lovely burst of flavor.

Chilling Before Serving

  • Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. You can also enjoy it immediately, but the chill enhances the experience.
