Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan, and Italian seasoning together, ensuring even distribution.

Assembly

  • In a baking dish, layer half of the chicken mixture at the bottom followed by half of the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat these layers, finishing with breadcrumbs on top.

Cooking

  • Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil and serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) to maintain the crispy breadcrumb topping.
